THE JOURNEY...
On the 31st May 2003 we began our journey from Hull to Mull, a journey of approximately 380 miles. We had managed to squeeze all our things into my little MX5-Roadster and were pleasantly surprised by just how much stuff you can ram into it when you have to! Our Journey took this route... Beverley - York - A1 - Scotch Corner - Brough - Penrith Carlisle - Gretna... At Gretna we had our first stop and passed the Welcome Sign into Scotland...

The next stage of the Journey took us over the border and along the motorway towards Glasgow. I have negotiated the path through Glasgow on three occasions now and this is the first time i have managed it without getting lost! If you wish to negotiate Glasgow South to North as we did, I would recommend the following route;

Glasgow, like Hull, has many Historical links to the Maritime Industry. Where Hull was a fishing port, Glasgow was a ship building City based around the River Clyde.
