THE JOURNEY...
On the 31st May 2003 we began our journey from Hull to Mull, a journey of approximately 380 miles. We had managed to squeeze all our things into my little MX5-Roadster and were pleasantly surprised by just how much stuff you can ram into it when you have to!

Our Journey took this route...
Beverley - York - A1 - Scotch Corner -
Brough - Penrith
Carlisle - Gretna...

At Gretna we had our first stop and passed the Welcome Sign into Scotland...
Stretching the old legs...
The next stage of the Journey took us over the border and along the motorway towards Glasgow. I have negotiated the path through Glasgow on three occasions now and this is the first time i have managed it without getting lost!

If you wish to negotiate Glasgow South to North as we did, I would recommend the following route;

Glasgow, like Hull, has many Historical links to the Maritime Industry. Where Hull was a fishing port, Glasgow was a ship building City based around the River Clyde.
